My buddy brought over his ECU to test it today. Mine is a 98, his is a 99... and I know I have seen other numbers. Anyone feel like reminding me what the difference is? I searched, but to no avail.

Oddly enough, my car seemed to start faster with his 99. I know I have a burnt spot on my ecu, and I am considering buying a new one.

I had a 98 ecu in my '89 K's club (manual) and got a tuned 99 (auto) to throw in. It really makes no difference, but auto/manual are those numbers. Yarr.

Tis what I thought. I am chipped anyway, just curious since I couldn't answer the question.

After all these years and I still second guess myself on little things, and then I go an set my cams wrong, haha! Thanks Tim.
