Batteries don't last long here in FL and mine will die soon. Any recommendations on a replacement battery for an '03 M45.

Nissan batteries only last 2-3 years here. I'm looking for something maintenance free. No adding water!!

Considering Optima's, but don't know the difference between the Yellow & Red.

I'm all ears. Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend anything but Optima. Once my battery dies that's what I'll replace it with. Yellow top is the best for our cars. I don't remember the specific differences, but I've only seen the red top in racing applications.

Hello,Funny you mention that about the battery. I live in Sarasota and just got it replaced. Had an Optima in my Acura. Rumor has it that the red/yellow are nearly identical. Google search would probably prove it. Either way, the Optima is well worth the money.CheersM.L

Red tops are really a high draw, low current starter battery... good for racing applications where you wait weeks between usage. Yellow tops are a low draw, high current battery good for regular applications... just don't accidentally buy the green or blue tops, those are marine applications.

Thanks guys. Where's the best place to buy an Optima? Online or B&M.

What's wrong with replacing a battery every 35 months especially if you get one with a 100% 36 month replacement warranty?

Does anyone know the CCA of the original battery?

The battery one selects depends on the local climate as the alloys mixed within the lead plates should be different based on cranking and running temperatures.

Obviously CCA would be a less than ideal parameter to use in Florida vs Michigan.

Vibration is the killer for automotive batteries vs what works in a Golf Cart.
