Hi folks. I'm new to this forum and have done some basic searching but still haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 1994 Maxima GXE with 132,000 miles. I haven't done any mods to it, but am wanting to replace the stock front struts. I found some Tokicos online for only a few dollars more than I could get some Monroes from my local parts/repair shop. I was considering getting the Tokicos, but wanted to know how much difference I would feel. Will I feel every bump in the road?

Also, this is where I found them:

Is this company reputable, and how does the price compare? Seems to be about the best price I could find.

Thanks,Ayeaux

That's a tough situation you're in because with 132,000 miles, you don't really want to spend too much on parts, even though the max's will last much much longer. I'm running Tokico's in my 99 and I couldn't be happier. I have my stock 16's on for the winter, and the ride is stiff, but not uncomfortable. It obviously gets a little worse when I have my 18's on during the summer, but that is expected. I always thought the stock nissan suspension was never really soft, so I actually did not see much ride quality difference between the stockers and the tokicos at all. I think it's worth the few extra dollars to go tokico than monroe's. You'll be extra happy when some ricer in a lowered civic comes up on ya through the twisties and you leave him in your dust, and then they ask, wow, what do you have in that thing, I couldn't keep up with your around those corners!

For the most part, you won't bob as much after bumps. I'd expect that you probably bounce around a little right now.

I didn't change out my suspension until after 200k miles and it's been wonderful. Just make sure your bushings are all in good working order as well. There's no use paying for labor twice.
