Car: 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 Special Ed.

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 and as most of you know, the front is jacked up fairly high compared to the back. I recently put on some 18"s and the front and back height is even more noticeably different. I was wondering if I could just put in a 1.4" spring in the front only and not in the back? Would my stock struts be able to handle a 1.4" drop and how would the overall drive be since the stiffness will be different in the front compared to the back?
