please help with high idle after adding cold air intake

i recently installed a nismo cold air intake on my 06 1.8S sentra. the check engine light is coming on and is running much too lean. does anyone know how to remedy this?

Is the light for running lean or for a high idle?

It sounds like you have a vac leak.

the light is for running lean it's idling a little high at times but i figure that's just cause the computer is trying to re-adjust after the huge difference in air flow. the idle doesn't always run high and that's not really a concern i don't think.

There is no NISMO intake for the 1.8, so I take it that you used a MAF adapter on a 2.5 NISMO intake?

yeah, i had something else on the brain when i posted is there a maf adapter that would work, you'll have to humor me i'm mechanically stupid.

Autozone carries it. I don't know the part # off hand, but if you search you might find it. You could probably ask them and they could figure it out.
