Please help with gauge cluster problem

FIRST & FORMOST THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME ..I RECENTLY BOGHT A VERT AND SWAPT THE DASH OUT ..BUT WHEN I CONECTED THE CLUSTER BACK IT WAS ALL VERY WRONG .. NONE OF MY GUAGES WORK ..SPEED. RPM. FUEL.TEMP. TURN SIGNAL'S EVEN THE DIGITAL CLOCK NOTHING . & THE CLUSTER DOES ILLUMINATE MOMENTARILY .CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION SO DO THE SEATBELT LIGHT STAYS ON ..I CHECKED JUST ABOUT ALL THE FUSES THE CAR DOES RUN AND DRIVE TOP DOES WORK SO DO THE HEADLIGHTS.. I JUST NEED TO DESPERATELY SOLVE THIS ISSUE AT HAND .. ANY POSITIVE FEEDBACK WILL BE EXTREAMLY APRECIATED..THANK YOU .PEACE.

if i remember correctly the three plugs that go into the gauges are all the same...could u have possibly put them in the wrong places?

Or he's got a cluster from a SOHC.

i thought only the rpms wouldnt werk if it was SOHC

Thanks for the feedback.. first the 3 connectors behind the cluster cant be mis matched.because they each have a slit in a diferent spot coresponding to it's proper atachment point .and it's the same cluster the car came with .any other positive ideas i gota get this thing to work again..peace
