I recently bought my first foreign car. 1992 nissan 240 sx convertible. 104k unmolested miles, with no winters. My problems include stalling upon immediate deceleration, and trouble upshifting, wont shift to the following gear until around 5000 rpm. when shifting it does shift smooth and no slipping seems to occur. btw i bought an auto because it was my wifes car and the price was right or so i thought. Please help

Has the tranny fluid been flushed? Thats usually a good first action if it hasn't been done. Seems the iacv may need cleaning for the stall issue.

Yeah, TPS could have something to do with it as well.
