hey guys i just replaced the tps in my 89 240sx i set the idle everything was running smooth i set it to .45 well anyways i test drive it it was shifting way better and had much better throttle responce. so i park the car hour goes by and i decide im gonna go out. i start it up idilin perfect at about 750 as im driving i shift in to neutral to let it coast down the hill and when i do the rpm jumps up to 2000 and stays there same thing if i put it in park. so i went home park the car put it in neutral and checked the voltage and its still at .45. so then i take it back apart pt it all back on and its idling fine again once i tap the gas the rpm shoots up to 2000 again please help

reset ECU.. disconnected battery for like 1 min then try it..same.. check all you vacum lines and cable.. if still the same get some carb cleaner .. spray all around for vac leak.. if you 100% sure its the tps is okay don't change it.. seems to me like you getting false reading in the tps.. if all was fine before you started to mess with it be side hard sifting.. then im pretty sure you going to have to replace it.. good luck buddy !!
