2000 Infinity i30

I recently replaced the Throttle Position Sensor in my i30 and apparently had no Idea what I was getting myself into. From what I understand I need to adjust it properly and then reset the computer somehow. I have the factory service manual found on this site (you guys rock) and it directs me to use feeler gauges to adjust the closed throttle position but according to the instructions I found here at Nico Club I simply need to test the voltage from the connector and rotate the housing until I get the desired voltage.

So first of all am I supposed to be using feeler gauges (EC-120) or just rotating the housing and testing voltage?

If I just need to rotate to achieve proper voltage which connectors and which pins? I understand the brown connector is the Throttle Position Sensor and the gray one below that is the Throttle Position Switch. I believe I am supposed to be testing the female pins of the brown connector while it is disconnected from the housing in the key on / engine off position.

Im so confused and to top it off Im stranded trying to do this in the rain. Please help.
