If you have any doubts, double check that part. Either way, couldn't hurt to grab a multimeter and check the wires - the right voltage, where and when it's supposed to be - takes a minute for simple reassurance. From there, try the rest of that stuff I metioned. If you dont have a multimeter, I highly suggest you invest in at least a halfway not-crappy one, and learn to at least test for power and ground. If you already can, awesome

Electrical stuff can be a pain even to those who are good at it, so if you already have multimeter skills, you're that much better off. So yeah, test those wires, then test those other wires
