I am quite a beginner when it cones to working on cars, and I am afraid to use a floor jack and a stand by myself.
I want to remove my rear tires (one at a time) to paint my brake drums since they are so rusty.

SO, my questions are:
1. Do I place the saddle of the floor jack where the slots are for the spare tire jack included with the vehicle? Or do I place my floor jack somewhere else?
2. Do I angle the floor jack? Or do I just place it straight? If I do angle it, which way (like towards what)?
3. Where do I place the jack stands? I want to be safe.

I also want to check my front brake pads (which I know how to do). However, again, I am afraid to use a floor jack alone. So if you can answer the questions above (but pertain to the FRONT tires), I'd appreciate it.

Include pics, too if you like!

Thank you so much!

any way you feel comfortable you can do it. just use the spots on the sides under the car for the oem jack thats what i have allways done and no problems yet and it you want to jack up the entire rear of car use the floor jack under the rear "axle" or what ever you would call it since it technically doesnt have a rear axle lol.
