Rod knock means the engine is on its way out. Cut coils means the owner is most likely a moron ricer who knows nothing about caring for a car, also evidenced by the fact that it also has a rod knock on a motor with 110K. Most of these 240s you see are pushing 200k+ and still running strong. Also, the welded diff is a big hint. Hes probably a wannabe street racer/drifter and the car is most likely a POS.

Like someone said above, take your time and wait for a better deal. Dont settle on something thats going to cost you a ton...

Hatchbacks weren't even made in 94, so the guy obviously doesn't know his own car (pet peeve of mine). I would say its better than the last one, but still see if you can find a better one first

Id go check out that last one. For the price, its a pretty good deal IF you have the money to go ahead and do a 5 speed swap off the start. If not, look elsewhere.

Im not sure right off hand. I would guess it would have to do with how available parts are in your area. KA transmissions are a dime a dozen here. I would imagine that, plus the parts needed to do it, you could get into it 500-600 bucks pretty easily. But, all said you would still be sitting on a decent condition running 240 for like 1200 bucks. And its stupid easy to do. Do some searching on here and Google, I know this stuff has been posted countless times. Also check out the tech section (right side of the forum I think), should be some info there as well.
