so im replacing my rotors
and so far ive started on the rear
ive installed the new rotor and the new pads but they wont fit in my caliper
i guess the piston is sticking out too far and it wont grab my new setup
please help.......im stuck

you can do it a few ways.

you can use a caliper tool.. Image

or you can use a big enough c-clamp w/ a piece or wood or something to press it back in.

goes in easier if you loosen the brake line so you're not forcing fluid back through the lines..

Also, you could:

Put an old pad back onto the piston side and mount the caliper onto the car w/ just the one pad. Jam a screwdriver in there in between the pad and rotor and pry to push the caliper back in...but that's the kinda ghetto method, i've done it plenty of times.
