as you can see in my pic, I have pinstriping. My thing is, does the striping stop at the fender like that on all or do you think the front end was maybe painted????? There was no accident listed on the carfax when I brought the car, so what can I do about it if it was repainted????? Thanks

That is kind of peculiar...I would inquire about it with the person that you bought it from. It could have just been that it was never there too...

Either way, you could always just remove the rest of it with a heat gun and your finger nail (if it is a vinal...)

I didnt think they came with one that was that obvious. It does look out of place in a ways.Mine never had a pin stripe from the get go.

definately aftermarket stripe. Also most likely had the fender repaired or perhaps just repainted (a scratch, scrape, etc. and had to sand off the stripe and repaint -- but cheap shop if they didn't add the stripe back).

You can check ALL the front body panels to see if they've been replaced. Look on the inside area of each fender, hood, bumper, etc. for the tan/off white holographic decal with the cars VIN on it. it's usually up where the part bolts onto the car. They are not very big - maybe an inch across.

Replacement parts will NOT have this anti-theft sticker on them. If the part in question has NO sticker then it's been replaced, and you have had body work done on the car.

Next step is to contact CarFax and take advantage of their Warranty and buy-back or payout if they were wrong about your car. Do it or you will pay later when you go to trade the car in -- to the tune of maybe 25% of the cars trade in value, due to it being in an accident. Any used car appraiser worth his fake Rolex knows to look for those stickers.
