I got the CP pistons, keeping my stock rods, is their anything else to do to my block besides bore it and hone it? And would the V3 cams be a bad idea if i'm getting a lightweight flywheel? And last but not least, where is a good place to get new bearings, and is there a certain kind that would be best to go with? Thanks for any help.

Ive heard Cleavite bearings are good, but i have no personal experience with them. Boring and honing the block, aside from hot tanking it, is about all you can do to it. You might want to consider having the rotating assembly balanced, maybe even knife edging the crank (shaves a little weight off of it). That is, if money is of no object.

ARP fasteners would be a great idea while the motor is apart. If nothing else, get their head stud kit. The stock KA head bolts are listed as "non stretch" but i blew a headgasket 3 months after my build because i reused them. Trust ARP.

Get good rings too. I used what came with my JE pistons, and wish i had spent some extra cash and gotten some good cromoly ones. Also, be sure to clock them right or you will get some blowby and possible oil consumption (dont ask me how i know....).

And the flywheel would work with any camshaft you throw at it. The lightweight flywheel allows the engine to rev quicker. When i put mine in, i couldnt wipe the smile off my face for a month. She felt like a honda, but with POWER and STYLE.

Awesome. OK i planned on getting the ARP head studs kit. So I shouldn't use the rings that came with my CP pistons????

And if you're right, that I can use any cam I want with the lightweight flywheel, why would that other guy tell me i would have a hard time keeping it at an idle everytime i came to a stop? IF I can use the V3 cams with a lightweight flywheel i definatley will, cause the bigger the cam the better right?

Thanks for helping, if anyone else can give opinions on this please do...

Well, which would be better....the V3 or the V2 cams??? The V3 would be better for the top end, but the V2's would still help in the top, but not take away so much bottom end. So Which is better?
