please help

this past month i had purchased a 240sx and i relized im only getting like 13-15 mpg. I know damn well im supposed to me getting more. The car has a very strong smell of gas and is not running to well. can anybody give me some suggestion on what i should fix. Is this a common problem with a 89 240 or am i just that damn un lucky. P.S. I have allready changed the 0xygen sensor, spark plugs and wires. I dont no what else to do.

common problem are leaky injectors. Sometimes all that is needed are seals but usually new injectors fix the problem. Turn car on with hood open and look at injectors for leaks.

Check your coolant temp sensor. IT is located on your intake manifold. If it is bad, your ECU thinks your car is cold and dumps excess gas into the combustion process waiting until it warms up, which, according to your faulty temp sensor, it never does.

okat, i hav a 1990 with 245k miles onit and do what the others said poluse read this post: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....foam. seafoam is the shizznit. yeah sorry if the sopelling and stuff is bad but i am way trashed rtight now. but anyway, seafoam and a good tuneup will wo you wondrs. my car smeelled like gas real bad till i did what that post said and now it is really great.

yes first do that, check for any leaky injectors. Now i work at jiffy lube and people always rag on us for being fake mechanics blah blah haha. But some people up ther really knwo stuff about cars, but anyway we have a service called a fuel injection and what it does is a bottle gets hooked up to your fuel vacum line, it runs to the injectors and burn the crude and uncloggs your injectors. Its really good b/c it not just that pour in your gas tank crap. Anyway my car was hesitating and seem liek my gas mileage was dipping so i did that and runs much better. just food for thought.

i checked for leaky injectors and i dont think its that. If anybody else has ne more suggestions it would be greatfully accepted. I will try to try doing everything you people tell me.Thanx
