so today i went and tried once again to correct my fuel pump problems. seeing as how this post is here, i had no positive results. i checked everything, found some corroded wires near the pump, so i rewired it and still nothing. then it dawned on me, the fuel pump is regulated by the ecu, and after checking power everywhere, i found that i didnt have any power in the circuit at all. then i remembered that when my car had died, it had popped a fusable link in the fuse box entitled "Engine Control" and so i am wondering if there could be a problem in my ECU, such as an internal short or soemthing that would cause the FL to pop. how can i check for that kind of problem, is there a possiblity that when it popped it messed up something with the fuel maps and possibly need to get it re-flashed? any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated. thank you for your time

Hotwire the fuel pump with a switchable fused link (simple Bosch unit will do something circa 20amps).

Engine Control fuse might mean you have a blown ECU, but if everything still works but you have no fuel pressure then just hotwire the fuel pump and you should have no problems.

so make it like a switch in the cockpit to run the fuel pump, rather than letting the ecu do it? would that work good, or would that make it run richer or soemthing like that? also is there a possiblity that if the ecu is messing up, could the fuel maps be all messed up as well? because just before it died on me, it was driving really weird, like sometimes it would have power, and other times it wouldnt. also it had a really rough idle, so im wondering if these problems could all be associated to the same root. thank you once again for your help and time.
