ok heres the problem i just got done rebuilding the engine from the block up and when we went to presurize the radiator and if u listen in the head were the timing chain is u can hear it leaking. So what i am asking could it be the timing chain coveror could it be something else and its on a 89 240sx sohc

what kind of headgasket did you use? and did you torque the head down in the proper order?

we used a rock manufactured gasket and yes we torqed the head down and then loosend them as it said and then torqed them down in order again

Do a compression check, you might be off on the valve timing.

are you shure the head and/or the the block still good??? it could be that either might be warped.

im positive the head is good because i got it checked and resurfaced but im not positive on the block
