my friend owns a 1994 nissan sentra 2dr std. trans.i checked his car out (which is sittimg on bricks).his clutch pedal stays on the floor effortlessly without adding pressure, he starts his car and as he depresses the pedal a terrible grinding is heard.it will not go into any gears, and the terrible grinding noise i mentioned happens when its in neutral! think maybe his stock clutch really needs to be changed and is eaten up to the point of the flywheel and clutch cover grinds off each other.
anyone had this problem?why would his pedal be so soft?due to the clutch being eateb away so it slowly goes down or the master/slave cylinder is leaking also?could the trans be damaged?
any info would greatly help.thanks.
