Hey Guys,Okay so I just purchased the Lightweight Crank Pulley for 07 Altima 2.5, and there are just a couple things I want to know before I begin installation. Please, if you are going to give me answers like "just take it to a shop or dealership" then kindly refrain from answering. I have a friend who is certified in auto body repair and we've never had a problem installing any of my after market products. So anyways,-First off, does anyone know how to lock the ring gear in place? It doesn't actually say on the instructions and I highly doubt it would be in the owner's manual.-Secondly, does anyone recommended putting RTV silicone on the key of the pulley?-Lastly, if anyone has already completed this installation (and I know it just came out), what size torque wrench did you use?

Thanks

A couple times yeah, the first time the receptionist at the desk at the time had no idea so he tried to transfer me over to a technician but they are always on lunch break. I left a message with my questions but still haven't heard back. It is the weekend though so we'll see.

Hey There,

Sorry for the late reply...I couldn't imagine someone would actually post a question in the correct secton on NICO. I thought everyone just posted in the "general" area haha.

Here are some answers to your questions:

1. It is in the service manual. "Remove the starter and lock the ring gear in place" or just wedge a pry bar through the crank pulley and into one of the ribs on the block. Be careful!2. NO!-Do not even consider this...3. 1/2" Drive
