Please help passenger air bag sensor

My wife is 100 pounds, every time she is in passanger sit on my 2008 G35X the air bag stays off and the light on the center counsil is on. i wen to dealer many times and even called central office but all what i'm getting is that car is set to federal standarts and will shut air bag off every time there is a person that weights less than 120pounds. we drive alot so can somebody help me any sugessions will be apretiated.

Don't quote me but I thought it was 75lbs...? Swear I read that somewhere because 120lbs seems pretty high. Another Infiniti dealer nearby you could get a 2nd opinion on?

I just ran a quick search on Goolge and others have had similar issues but there have been a few solutions. Try that and see if it helps you out at all.

I suggest to be pation. There is a recall for the exact thing passanger side occupation sensor for the airbag. They will have to test your sensor and they fix it. The recall just came out last week. My wife is 110lbs so I know what you are talking about. My 07 did the exact same thing. My 08 actually good and reognize her.

Did you ask her if she had gained weight the first time she sat in your 08?!

Although they do not publish exact numbers for legal reasons, it seems to exceed 100lbs. As the force of an airbag detonation would seriously injure anyone less than that.
