if it's not turning, check your starter. if it's turning, got fuel, and spark, is your engine flooded? If so pull your fuse for the fuel pump, and crank till the flood is gone. Reinstall the fuse and start car.

so it at least runs for a second or two and dies or it just won't stay running without your key in the "start" position?

ok well I'm now under the impression that the engine will turn when it's in "start" and stays that way until you put the key into the ACC position right? If that's the case, your car should be able to run if you're getting fuel and spark. Unless your MAF is shot in which case it should still run once started but would die off fairly quickly. Have you tried starting with your foot on the gas pedal? That should help keep your car alive for a little bit if your maf is shot as long as you give it a bit of air and what not.

is fuel getting into the cyl's? I understand you have fule pressure but are the injectors opening? try starting it with throtlle held at about 1/3 throttle. it may take 10 to 15 seconds of cranking to fire.

run some injector cleaner through there and change your fuel filter that should help with your fuel system.

sounds like air flow meter has either a bad connection at the harness near it or the meter itself has failed.
