I have a 2006 Nissan Altima with the four cylinder. It only has 20,000 miles on it. The car was wrecked, and hit high in hood and chipped a corner off of the head. I got a new head for it, installed, and timing reset. I drove the car for a few months last fall with no problems. One night it broke down on me. A coil pack had blown. Over the next few months i blew all 4 coil packs. All four of the occurences i had my bright lights on at night, driving slow/idle. Just a few days ago it was warm enough to turn on the AC so i did, within 2 minutes i could tell it was putting a strain on the motor, and in a drive through window at wendys it blew another coil pack. Could someone tell me why they think this could be happening? And if not what can cause a coil pack to blow, and when i say blow i mean these things are melting the plastic of the coil pack. AND YES, i have had all four coil packs replaced by both OEM Nissan coil packs, and aftermarket coil packs. Any help would be great... i've trouble shot until im ready to push this thing off a cliff.
