Car: 1991 Sentra SE-R with a JDM SR20 Swap

Post

Ok so lets start, I purchased the motor It was a JDM SR20DE mated to a 5 speed automatic, So I Bought a 92 Sentra with a blown Engine, I swapped the 5 Speed Manual transmission to the JDM SR20 and after spending about a month playing with a bunch of spliced wires we got the car to run. So now the car is running but with a problem....

When you first start the car it is very hard to start, you almost kill the battery trying to get it to turn over after about the 6th try it will turn on and you must leave it running for about a minute otherwise if you give it gas it will die., We have a Fuel gauge right before the fuel rail connected and it reads 40-45 PSI, after the car starts it runs perfect, it feels a little short on power but its there, you can turn it off and leave it off for about 4 hrs and come back and it will start right back up without any problems, we have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the MAF with cleaner, We swapped the FPR out with the one from the old motor and it still is having issues, rigged a direct power to the fuel pump to make sure it was getting power, we have removed the back seats and the fuel pump is on, One thing that i know is if i squirt some fuel into the manifold by a vaccum where the FPR is connected it turns right on and stays on if you give enough and after a while itll stay on by itself...pleas help

Now on to another question when the car would be on the RPMs would usually be very high like in the 1500s so we capped off a vacuum dat ran into the main intake hose and connected to the Intake Manifold by the throttle body pictured below and the rpms are normal is this ok? Could this have something to do with the above problem?

One last thing, What is this for, I am unsure if the plug is even suppose to be connected to that or what vacuums go there

Are you getting full fuel pressure as soon as you put the key in the 'on' position? Also are you running the cars original ECU or one from your swap engine?

That yellow thing is part of the egr equipment and needs to be hooked up..I believe that hose you got by the blue circle is part of the idle air control valve which is only used for warm up...if this is not hook up the engine would be hard to start..The egr can be blocked off but it wont pass smog..make sure you have no vacuum leaks and look for the IACV and make sure it is properly routed to a vacuum source..Also make sure your tps is set to 0.48 closed and 4.05 full throttle..I think your main problem is vacuum leaks... try hooking that yellow arrowed hose to the blue circle area looks like it belongs there..
