Okay here's the situation. I finally get my 240 out of the shop with the s15 conversion finished. In the shop, we checked the head lights to see that all the lights function properly. They all work. Get home, and later that night I want to take my car out for a spin since I haven't driven it for more than two months. Turn on the car, release the e-brake, I have drl's on. Turn on head light, but there's no light coming out, nor is the interior dash light coming on. So I flip to high beam to make sure and the high beams do come on. So I figure maybe it could be a fuse. Next day we check the fuses and they all look fine. So my friend figures it could be the light switch that could be the problem, since when we flip the lights on, neither the headlight lowbeams or the interior lights come on. But if it were the switch, then how come the high beam and turn signals come on? Also, the bulbs are not a problem cuz I turn the alarm on (I have a compustar 3) and both the headlamps flash and the interior lights flash. Any suggestions would be helpful. I tried searching the forum but to no avail. Sorry for the lengthy post. And thanks again!!!Hong:help

thats a wiring problem, imo. but if it worked at the shop then maybe something came undone between the shop and ur house. follow the wires and see that they are ok

Hello. I just checked the wires and everything seems to look okay. But my question is that if it were the wires, then how come if I turn on/off the alarm on my car, the problematic lights do flash, meaning that the lights are functional, right? Well, thanks for trying quiksilvia. Its really appreciated. I think I'll just bring it into my friendly neighborhood nissan dealer and see if they can figure out what's going on.

because the alarm is wired differently, it doesnt go all the way to the light switch, it goes to a relay box. good luck with the dealership, mine has no idea about jdm materials.

this soo sounds like a fuse problem... because when the fuse blows, the dash and headlights go out... either that or like quick said, wireing problem... other than that, it's hard to imagine..

I have one question, I've been reading on wiring cuz I am new to this, and I am confused as to why there are fusible links? Like what are they and how are they different from fuses? After reading about it in my chilton's manual, it seems like that might be the problem. Sorry for being such an annoying newb. Haha
