Hey man.. That is exactly what I am in the middle of doing...I am using a 91-94 harness, ecu, cluster, power steering and ac lines. 91-94 Header.. The trannys are the same.. but I am using the 96 ka24de and transmission out of my totaled s14.
As far as a how to.. its one of the simpler swaps.. bc the de came stock in that body... just need to swap stuff around.. I was going to use the de harness out of the s14 and splice it with the 89 harness.. but thats a whole lot of work.. the 91-94 harness is much easier.. there are a few differences with a few emisions stuff but its a whole lot easier..
Just drop in the de.. run your harness.. install the ecu, cluster, run your lines and fill the fluids and you should be set. Just dont snap any header bolts off like i did removing the de.. It sucks.
