Hi,

I just purchased a new Autometer Monster tach for my 93 Z.I don't know too much about wiring so I need some help.

I need to locate the ignition switch wires so I can splice into them. What colors are they?

Do I need to take the instrument cluster off to get to the wires or are they accesible from under the dash?

It is also a 2 stage system that has a blue wire that needs to be connected to the shifter? Any ideas?

I was told that the green wire must be attached to the existing tach wire (as per the Autometer tech). Is this wire accesible from under the dash?

Please help.

Thanks for the link. I am not too good with reading the diagrams.

I am having some difficulty locating the main ignition wire and the light wire for connection.

Do you know which color is the main ignition wire and what color is the lights wire? I was told that the ignition wire must be a constant live one and the light wire must be the one that works when you turn your headlights on and off.
