Alright...here is the deal. I have a ka24de, I was replacing the head gasket and putting everything back on. I was going through the proper sequence of torqueing down all the cam tophats and one of the bolts snapped off. Usually not a big deal but in this case yes. My drill bit cocked off without me realizing it. Now I cannot get the broken piece out. How do I go about drilling the hole out and re-tapping it. Or is my head trash now. Please help me. New to ka motors.

How far down did the bolt break off? Can you remove the cam cap and have a little bit of the bolt sticking out? if it's broken off below the head material and you broke a drill bit off, you may have to take it to a machine shop. Did you use a drill bit or a screw extractor?

If you can't get it yourself, a machine shop can probably fix it up. Unfortunately, that usually requires you to bring it to them....

Good luck!
