Dear all,

My vehicle is G37 Vert with 7 AT. Mileage is about 18,750 mile / 30,000 km.
However, my vehicle's transmission has been into "Safe Mode" 3 times, when I'm driving over 30 minute; and push harder on the gas.

Nissan told me "The transmissions of G37S and G37 Vert are different! They need to get a new transmission from Japan!"
The cost of this new transmission will be over USD 11,000.
I'm not sure I need to pay for this new transmission or not because Nissan doesn't answer me, yet.

My question,
1) Can I use "G37S" 7 AT transmission?
2) If I want to buy used/OEM "G37 Vert transmission", where can I get? (I couldn't find it from eBay)

As long as you don't have any extensive modification to your vehicle, I would imagine Nissan would replace the transmission for you under warranty. Your car has relatively very few miles on it to run into this kind of problem. I highly recommend you wait for a final resolution from the dealer and allow them to replace it with an identical OEM unit. I don't see a reason to be worrysome just yet! Hang in there.

your should be covered under warranty, I doubt you'll find trany for the vert unless it was totalled..
