Please help me rewire my speedometer.

I put a post about my speedo not working. Some times it does and other times it does not. Replaced the speed sensor and the cluster. Still same thing. Some one said cut into one of the speed sensor wires and run it up to the cluster. They were not to exact on how its done. Any one done this before that can help me out here? Thanks. D
