Please help me reprogram my keyless entry on my 240sx

If anybody knows the instructions to reprogram a keyless entry remote for a 240sx please let me know as soon as possible. I would really appreicate any help at all. Thank you

try turning your igntion on and off about 5 times. then push the lock button.

ok, I found the steps to program it on freshalloy. My brother also has a 240sx and we tested it on his and after putting the key in and out 6 times in 10seconds his warning lights flashed. I tried the same exact thing on mine numerous times and my car did nothing. What could be going wrong to cause my 240 not to enter programming mode?

first make sure the doors are closed and the windows are up

1. insert key 6 times in 10 seconds, lights will flash.

2. Turn key to on and push door lock button, lights flash again.

3. turn key off

If i remember that, thats how it goes, I had to do it myself a long time ago, if thats not it let me know, and I will look it up in the factory manual

yea those are the rigth steps but my car wont enter programming mode ( the hazard lights dont flash after inserting the key 6 times in 10 secs). anybody have any idea what is wrong?

And you are sure your car is equipped with keyless entry. You might check relays and fuses. Just a thought.

thanks, i will check that. Althogh you know how you have the under hood fuse box, with the 2 small boxes attached to it, how do you get the covers of those, I must be an idiot and cant figure it out? :s
