Hey guys,

I am a noobi here and i wanted to see if anybody has a alternator for sale. I upgraded my wire gauge to a higher volts because i added some ice in the car and it blew my alternator out. this just happen yesterday and i need this fixed no later than tuesday. I met one guy on here in ATL (Boricua_bond-Chico) One cool A** Guy, But he referred me to here. So please nico can someone help me out and sell me a alternator for a decent price. I heard you guys take care each other as brothers.... You can either email me at [email protected] or just write here i will be checking until i get this fixed. Ohh i have a RWD Ca18det.

instead of getting another used one that may or may not have the same result...... which will be a waste......... go have yours rebuilt. any shop that deals with alternators should be able to do it and even put out a few more AMPS if you wish(good if you are having lots of accs) for about the same or less than a new alternator and shipping. usually takes them no time. I had mine done for 100 bucks and 3 hours!

PS you sure the alternator is dead and it isnt just the fuseable link got cooked?

Get it rebuilt. They can often increase the ampacity as well.

HA...nice one with the noobie.......I am a noobi with the Nico but not with s13's........but yes i have checked around here and these places say they dont rebuild anymore.....so im running low on resources........I have done my honework on rebuilding alternators around this way......i found one place so far since researching on rebuilding alternators and they talking bout 280.....i refuse to pay that much for a rebuild..........Im just looking for a alternator so i can just ride out by tuesday.........Can someone help a ca brother out......also yes i have checked the fuse link.......thats ok....the alternator is done....the pully wont turn...so i know a bearing must be out......Someone i know must have a alternator lying round for a decent price.....

you best hop on "Notyourmoms" on one of the other threads. I cant for the life of me understand why they wouldnt rebuild it as there isnt a hell of alot of science to them. there are some who have tried the SOHC KA alternator with modified housing, but IDK how they did that you would have to ask.

best bet is to still make more phone calls and find someone that will rebuild it. Even if he over nights it you wont get it till mid day on tues(less he can get it out this afternoon).
