PLEASE help me i am havin trouble with my car

I need some major help... about a week and a half ago my 92 240sx would not start. my father inlaw thought it was the battery the red side, you know where it has that fuse box thing. anyways he cut that off and we got a new battery cable thing cause my old one was so coroded. so then that still didn't work. well we figured it was my starter so i got a new starter and it still didn't work.my car will turn on, but after i turn it off i have to wait about 2 hours for it to turn back on. i cant turn my car off and turn it back on, it won't work... does anyone know what is wrong with it???? please let me know

I vote coolant temp sensor because thats what my problem was with the car shutting down and not starting until an hour or so later...anyone else?

Unfortunately, the wiring isn't forgivable on these things. There's so many things it could be, but I'd suggest cleaning and inspecting the battery terminals if you haven't so far. Then i'd check all of your sensors, along with your ground wires, and then inspect your distributor, along with all your fluids. The problem is, you haven't described what the car does as in noises and vibrations etc. when running it. It could be something really simple or something that may take a while to figure out. ok well here goes, this is the history on my car... in summary of course,i got my car noing it was goin to be a project. wouldn't even drive, this was bout 2 yrs ago. so first i had to get a new clutch. then i had to rebuild my motor. got pretty much everything in the motor new, so it was bout 2000 then after i had it runnin for about 3 months it ran hot and i had to get a whole new motor. i got a motor with aout 79 thousand miles on it. now it is runnin good except for it not cuttin on. i got a new starter, my things on the battery are good. my sensors too. could it be my coolant??? i don't know, it runs good. vibrates a little when i drive once i hit 20 mph. so can you tell me anything now????
