Does anyone know where I can find this missing piece of plastic? I've taken a picture of both the missing part and the other side of the vehicle where the part is not missing. It must have fallen off during a car wash, but I'm afraid that it could lead to some water damage somewhere.

This is a 2001 Infinity QX4, so perhaps the pathfinders would be the same?

You have 2001.5 ignition coil packs with your build date of 10/00 (same as my Pathfinder :)). This is good.

Great! I'll probably order today.

I have 90K miles on this vehicle, and I'm contemplating how I should do the 100K maintenance. Any suggestions? The dealership wants $1200 for this service which I assume would include the coil packs and plugs. Speaking of which, why are the 2001.5 coil packs a good thing??

Again, thanks for your help.

Coil packs do not need routine replacement.

Plugs are doable yourself if you are a bit mechanical. One is under the thottle body and is a bit fiddly.

$1200 is absurd.

Chuck is correct. We have a great DIY guide on spark plug replacement here.

2001.0 coil packs often have issues with causing the P1320 code which the 2001.5 coil packs have corrected. Of course, that doesn't mean they can't fail, but it's significantly less common.

I've finally gotten around to replacing the "air vent". Unfortunately the vent did not come with the mounts that hold the vent in place (the female mount). The "male" mount came with the new air vent.

Can you guys let me know what the part number is for the female mounts, and if there are any special instructions to replace the old ones? The old ones are rotted/missing, hence the vent fell off in the first place.

Thanksa again for your assistance. It's nice to have a forum dedicated to my vehicle type. Here's a pic of me pointing to the mount in question:

Thanks Towncivilian. When I enter the part number for the "lower grommet", it comes up as "packing" when I go to checkout. This happens when I enter the same part number into another nissan parts website--I'm assuming that the "lower grommet" is the foam packing between the metal and the plastic (upper) grommet?

I guess I'm confused on whether the 3 grommets are the same size? To replace the three mounts, should I order 3 upper and 3 lower (packing) parts?

If there is a wrecking yard/junk yard near you, then I'd check there first.
These parts are probably on a wrecker, and would be dirt cheap.

FYI, there's a yunk yard 10 minutes from my place, with close to a dozen Pathfinders of various vintage.
I've been there many times and have saved a ton of money.....and it's fun.

Three mounts? The parts diagram I looked at said there were 2 of each grommet on the vehicle, with no third item. I will look again in FAST when I get home.

Rubber grommets are one thing I would not get from a junkyard. Rubber degrades relatively quickly with age.
