So, KCK just had a huge snow storm and during that I had decided to not drive the car (bout 4 days). Prior to this the car was driving perfectly fine. Sometimes a hard start, but that was probably because of the cold. I replaced the battery, because my old one kept dying during the cold (I know batteries are known to crap out in the winter).

Anyway, the car will turn over now but wont start. There's fuel, but no spark. I've heard this can mean a number of things, and I searched the FSM to try and narrow things down. The ECU is not throwing any codes, but I've yet to mess around with a voltmeter to check other things...

Well, I found this in the FSM and it really confuses me:

I need to know 110% what the problem is before I go about buying parts to try and replace it. (If there's anything to replace) There aren't really any people around to switch out RB parts to try, so my only choices are going to a junk yard and getting the ignitor from a J30 or buying another CAS. I need this car gone ASAP, and is much easier to sell off when it's running. Please help me decipher this. I suck hard core at wiring.

what engine? I assume RB20?? Did you do the wiring yourself or pay to have it done?

easiest way is to pull the coil pack out with the harness still attached and put a spark plug in it and ground it out to the valve cover. Look for lightning. start with that. then move on.

Yeah we already did that.. no spark. Just trying to narrow it down now though to the ignitor. Just saw that in the FSM... don't know what the hell that little infinity" symbol means next to omega (ohms resistance).

ok look at it this way. To check out of the igniter. Go to each coil pack. find the 12vdc then ground then shoot for ohms on the igniter signal. should look like a relay which shows inf/ohm as a relay gate open and closed. then check the voltage which will be 12vdc then 0vdc. need more instructions call me 210 837 1670 mario.
