please help locate oil drain plug and oild filter location..

today i decided to change my oil. when i was under the suv. i can't seem to find where the oil filter/ drain plug...

does any 1 have pic or can point me to the right direction..

is it that hard to find?? maybe i should bring it to the dealer. I really don't like other people working on my car because you never know what they going to do to it.

The oil fiter is located above the shield bolted at the front of the engine compartment on the bottom, there are 9 or 11 screws holding it up. once you remove it the oil filter will be plain as day. The oil drain plug is at the lowest point of the pan just in front of the bellhousing.

On your statement about dealers. Think about what you said. You take your car to a dealer for service ,where they work on potentially thousands of the same model vehicle. A place where a tech could walk up under your vehicle never seeing the body of the vehicle and say "this is a QX4". A place where a guy could glance at the vehicle and point out any part that is out of place and does not look like any of the others he looked at. Chances are the dealer techs know more technically about your vehicle then you will ever know during the entire time you own it. If I had a vehicle and was not in the buisness my self that would be the first place I would take it.
