I have checked all the fuses power on both sides. All I've done is the engine light came after I replaced the A/C idler pully I knocked off a vacuum line I pulled the cables off for about 20I mins light went off car started fine but within 5 mins is when it died. Anyone please help like I said this is my wife and 2 little boys only car.

Everything works it just turns over. Almost like its not firing. The car was running great before this happened. I don't know if I messed up something when I tried resetting the engine light. It was running fine she put in drive and it died and ever since it just turns over but work hit at all. I can smell fuel but its like its not getting any spark. I checked all the coils 2 wires are hot one is not on the 3 wire plugs for the coils if it matters. Would taking the cables off the battery mess something up?

Disconnecting the battery wont hurt anything.. you can test the spark plugs by simply taking one out and have someone watch it while you turn the key. It sounds like it may just be a bad starter.. you could try hitting the starter with something heavy a couple times( jack it up so you can get a little swing) and if it starts, don't turn it off until you get a new starter and get home.

The next thing I would do then is check electrical. If that clears then next step would be fuel.. possible clogged filter.
You just have to take it step by step and rule out everything you can

When you click the ignition, do you hear the fuel pump cycle? If not the pump and or delivery system is dead. Have you tried pulling a code to verify?

I tried it this morning it started up. It was flooded bad from trying to start it. I'm wondering if I triggered the anti theft when I unhooked the battery.

If the alarm is triggered the horn should have been blasting.

The horn never blew once. It sat all night I unhooked the neg battery terminal for about 15 mins went back reconnected it and tried starting it it started trying to hit but was flooded so I held it to the floor and it finally cranked. Its running a little sluggish below 2400rpms I figure it needs plugs now.

You may have a knock sensor issue. If its bad it WONT light up the CEL.
Also its ignored over 3 k RPM.
ODB scan will pull up a code 34 if I recall.

I would bet money on the knock sensor. Mine did the same thing, and despite me not wanting to believe it... turned out to be the knock sensor.
