In Florida it's hot as hell without car AC working. I hope someone knowledgeable of AC systems for a Nissan 2001 Pathfinder can contribute to this thread and help me figure out how to fix my AC. Below is a small list of what I have done on my own already:
1. I had my AC coolant professionally refilled. They purged the old Freon coolant out and injected new self
sealing Freon coolant.
Worth noting: the guy told me I had a minor leak but since it's not a huge leak the self sealing coolant
should keep the leak minimized.
2. I changed the Fan Blower switch (pictured below).
3. I changed the AC Blower Relay (pictured below).
4. I have visually confirmed the Compressor kicks in when I turn on the AC power.
My AC was for a while working intermittently for the longest time with the part changes I made and the new Freon Coolant I added. The blower fan kicked in and push out cold air. However, now the blower fan is totally dead. It will no longer turn on when I power up the AC.
I need advise. Should my next step be to change out the entire blower fan? What can prevent the blower from turning on. Does the blower contain within it a special relay that can fail? Even more, I would appreciate any advice on identifying any other part that can fail within the AC system.
As I said in the beginning. It's HOT as hell in Florida to drive around without AC. Therefore, I really hope someone out there can help me get my AC back online. Thanks in advance.
