I am all for this but what I don't get is why should we vote for any one person because someone says so?

Those other women some uglier than Maria might need the money for the same if not worse circumstances. So why should we the people who don't even know here or have any real reason to vote for her other than because someone said to do so?

Sorry if this steps on toes but there is a difference for voting someone for 15 min of fame and then there is life changing money. And I say this because with a couple of thousand active NICO members if that could really influence who wins and doesn't.

Terrible news, she didn't win.

Apparently the contest was decided 30% from the votes and 70% from the sponsors' decisions. Really sucks that she didn't win. She got so many votes and just about everyone said she had the best video on there. She's not upset about it at least.
