I was installing an autometer gauge today. I hooked up the ground to a bolt.the power wire I did not hook up

I did not have to time to hook it because I had to go to work.First the clock has reset to 1pm? but the battery wasn't disconnected. pretty soon I realize it won't remember now after the car is shut off! the stereo also won't work!!!

after leaving work when its dark I realize the dome light is also no longer working. the "door ajar" light is also faintly on and glows stronger then dims while I drive?!Now the clock isn't working at all.

can anyone help me out??? I've checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood and they are all fine.I disconnected the battery tonite and I'll try to fix it in the morning but I don't even know where to start.I removed the wire that was grounded to a bolt to see if that would help but no luck.

please help me!!!

Some of the after market stuff you can get now days can mess with the on board computers. First unhook every thing that you hooked up and put every thing back the way it was. Now you will need to reset the computer. To do this you will need to unhook the battery and leave it off for up to 48 hours. The reason for leaving if off for so long is the computer needs to reset to factory specs. The down side of this is then time for one thing and when you do drive it, it may run real bad for the first little bit. The computer will need to relearn the car's settings. I have had to do this in the pass. Good Luck.
