Please help!!! ECON and AIR CON not working!

I have a maxima 2002 GLE and both my ECON and AIR CON is not working. There is no cold/warm air coming out of the vents whether I set the temp to 18 or 32C. Nothing was changed with my car except the tires were replaced with a new pair (and I don't think it has anything to do with it). Could someone please tell me what I can do to check this before I bring it to a mechanic. I'm on a tight budget right now. It's -7C here already and I need the heater badly. I was even able to use it this afternoon after I replaced the tires. One thing I noticed before this was some sound coming from the back of the glove compartment, so I shut off the ECON and when I turned it back on, nothing came out of the vent. No warm air on ECON nor cold air on AIR CON. Hope someone has an idea...

probably blower motor amp control or maybe blower motor itself. Both can be accessed by removing the glove box. Remove the latch catch, then 2 screws on the top of the glove box and 2 below.

Sounds like the blower motor, based on your info. But that seems too early for a blower or blower resistor to fail. Did you try selecting different blower speed in Auto or ECON mode? If the blower is not running, check the fuses and blower motor relay. If OK then use the built-in diagnostic from the FSM to further isolate the problem.
