Awesome thank you........Pwnin O’Brien wrote:This could be one of two things, a bad keyfob or a bad SECU (smart entrance control unit). My first recommendation would be to try using a different keyfob. If the problem persists after trying a new keyfob then you will likely need to replace your SECU (smart entrance control unit). This unit controls all door locking/unlocking as well as the window-down function for the driver and passenger windows.
What it sounds like is happening is the SECU keeps receiving an extended lock signal from the keyfob (or driver/passenger door lock cylinders) and that is causing the windows to go down.

Some clarification on this one: You can roll the windows down using the keyfob or by putting your key in the door lock and holding it in the unlock position, as you said. However, you CAN also roll your windows back up with the key in the door lock, by turning and holding it in the lock position. The only thing you can't do is roll the windows up with the keyfob. Too bad for that though. That would have been a really nice feature. Most new cars have this feature now.Two friends of mine, one with a Lexus, and another with an Acura TL didn't know about the remote being able to open the windows. They were amazed when I showed them. They didn't bother reading their user manuals I guess.BTW, my '06 Altima also has this feature.Pwnin O’Brien wrote:Yeah, it's a feature most people don't know about. If you hold the lock button on the keyfob or if you hold the key in the lock position in the door key cylinder it will put the two front windows down. Unfortunately you can't put the windows up this way.
For some reason it doesn't work on my QX4 at all. Holding the button won't work and same goes with key.Pwnin O’Brien wrote:Yeah I completely messed that up.
When I got my first car (98 Range Rover HSE) I thought this was one of the coolest features and I thought it was way ahead of its time. I also thought that the electric headrests were absolutely amazing.
