i went to swap my front hubs the other day.i got the whole thing off except for the steering tie rod and the lower ball joint...i had my cousin come over with his ball-joint seperator and i got the steering tie rod off but i need a thicker one to get the lower ball joint(pivot)one off...i figured ill use two tools and hit em together that should do the trick....right??...but thats not even my problem...in the process of doing this i tore the seals on the lower ball pivot and the one on the steering tie rod...i went to nissan today to get the seals..and they told me i need a new control arm and a new tie rod...WTF?????137 X 2 and 56 X 2 for the tie rod...are u ****tin me...someone please tell me this isnt true...what did u guys do in this situation..or am i the only one??

High energy suspension make urethane replacement boots. The front ball joint can be replaced without buying a control arm and new ones come with the boot. Most likely if you have over 60,000 miles on those parts it's time to replace them anyway.

i am pretty sure u can get the lower ball joints from the parts store.. i replaced some on a friends car and he brought me just the ball joint in an autozone bag.
