Yes I did search but if you know where i can find more info please let me know....anyway....

Ok...I was at the track a couple weeks ago. Everything was totally fine til i got to the staging lanes. I turned the car off and when it was time to move, I tried to turn it back on....When I did this the car started but bogged right back out (Felt like a MAF problem or like IC pipeing had come undone) looked under the hood and everything was fine. So i change the spark plugs ...no difference... then we unplugged the MAFS... and the car ran in limp mode (would idle and rev as long as there was no boost) but when we plugged the MAFS back up the car just bogged and died out again. So I was thinking bad MAFS.

Well I finally get the car back home and and checked the codes...i got code 12(MAFS) so i got another MAFS (from a online junkyard so it may be bad too:confused: ) and the problem continued. I checked the wiring and had good ground and power...I dont know how to check the signal wire on the MAFS. Well anyway i checked all the wiring at the ECU for the SAFC and it was all right but I disconnected it anyway just to be safe and ran a straight wire from the ecu to the MAFS to eliminate any possible shorts in the wiring harness but I still got the same code and the same results as before....Ive checked everything i could think of that might be wrong and found nothing...Keep in mind that the problem showed up just out of the blue for no apparent reason...the motor runs fine and for the most part always has since ive had it (over 7months). Well if any one has any bright ideas please feel free to enlighten me ASAP!!!! thanks

Back probe the MAF with a meter and open the throttle. Look for voltage gains. I believe 1.4 v at idle and 4 volts at open throttle

I will check that tomorrow. lemme ask this... on the new mafs there are 4 wires....

black - groundorange - groundblack w/ white stripe - powerwhite -signal

can anyone confirm that these are absolutley correct and thenwhat will i need to set the SAFC at

HOTWIRE/ IN's and OUT's/ and anyother settings i would need

(keep in mind that now i used to have a Z32 MAFS and now i have a Q45 - if it makes a difference at all)

white is your signal wire thats the wire you wanna look for the 1.4v at idle. as far as your aftermarket device there should be info on the site for wiring that thing up. I am not familier with it since its aftermarket.
