please help about my ka24e motor

ok my buddy replaced the timing chain kit in my car and right off the bat the chain sounded noisy and i was driving alittle fast and the car died and i took the valve cover off and the chain broke first i asked acouple people and they said they think the motor is shot but i talked to a nissan tech and he said it might of only bent acouple valves and i talked to another mechanic and he said he has had acouple ka24e chains pop and he replaced the timing chain kit and it was fine so im ordering and new kit but if anyone knows if i might have more problems please let me know

also i was wondering about aftermarket kits i was told that just to get parts from the dealer if anyone is selling a timing chain kit for a ka24e motor please let me know

more than likely you bent some valves ,you can do a leak down test to see if any are bent ,if it passes than no bent valves and your good to go again
