Please help a newbie! Upgrading EX35 to Xenons

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello all.
Any inputs will be seriously appreciated. I just bought a used 08 EX35 and to my shock, it has halogens?!?

I started researching the net and there are TONs of HID conversion kits out there! So far one guy recommended Xtreme HID Kit.
Any other recommendations? Also, do I need 4 ballasts if I want both hi/low beams? How hard is it to install?

Thank you in advance!

Depending on the experience, I would consider the install moderate. There are a few ways you can do it, removing the bumper or the easier solutions would be to remove the front wheels and go through the wheel wells. Unless you live in an area where you really need high beam HID's, its not really worth it unless its a preference then the answer to your question is Yes, you will need a kit (bulbs and ballast) for your high beams and a separate kit for your low's. DDM Tuning seems to be a pretty big seller on these forums due to their quality and price, but hear they can take sometime to ship (due to high volume of orders). There are plenty of good quality kits as well as good rebranded ones, always a good insurance for the ones that honor their warranty for atleast two years. Even the good quality ones can be sometimes faulty and burn out/fade under a year. Should be a clear and straight forward installation if you are comfortable with going through the wheel wells or removing your bumper.

Good Luck.
