please help 5 speed swap question

ok so ive done alot of searching and alot of reading on the 5speed swap tutorial, but it still hasnt answered my question, do you need a manual transmission harness for the 5 speed swap or can you just use the auto harness and do a bit of splicing? reverse lights are not a concern any help would be GREATLY appreciated as this is the only thing stopping me from trying out my new transmission! its a 93 240sx.

ps if the auto harness will work what wires do you splice together? like i said im a bit confused because in the 5speed swap tutorial im not sure if they are talking about a manual or a auto harness your help is greatly appreciated

You don't need a manual harness. The speed sensor is seperate of the trans harness, so you can retain your speedo and run wires down to the reverse switch
