Smoke and funny smells out your pipe 101-White smoke = Water burning (coolant leak or typical condensation)Blue smoke = Oil burning (turbo leak, head gasket leak, PCV's)Black smoke = Fuel burning (vehicle running rich)
Okay from your description it sound like you've got to much fuel going to one particular cylinder.
Now, we systematically answer questions to find out what it is?1) Have you pulled each sparkplug for inspection to see if all spark plugs are equally soaked? While you are at it, make sure all your plugs are equally gapped as well and do not show any signs wear and tear.
2) Have you recently replaced any injectors along with o-rings or done any other fuel work recently?
3) Have you Ohm tested injectors yet?
4) Have you inspected each injector for moisture around the O-rings yet for a pinched or cracking O-ring (note - moisture will normally protrude around the injector that has the leak with an obvious pungent smell of fuel as well. Normally it's pretty evident that you have a leak in a O-ring upon finding it.)
5) Have you tested each coilpack to insure working condition? (Done by running the engine and pulling the coilpack 1 by 1. Pull the coilpack connector...if the engine stumbles then that coilpack was working...move on to next one. If you pull the connector and you get no change in idle then you have found the back coilpack.
6) And lastly, check to make sure your FPR vacuum line is plugged in correctly?
