Please help! 240sx?

I'm thinking about becoming a owner of a 1993 240sx car. I'm not new to working on project street cars. I can fix anything on a car that doesn't need to be taking to a machine shop. I had a turbo eclipse thats the motor just recently blow. I alway's wanted a nissan 240sx and now i have another chance on having one. When i get a car i alway's want to learn everything i can,from changing a non turbo engine to turbo, putting on a bodykits, and what parts i can take from what cars.

Question:

1. Can i buy a non turbo 93 240 and drop in a turbo engine later?2. What engine can i drop in and how much horsepower does it have? 3. How much money would the turbo engine be and is it an easy bolt on? 4. What cars parts can i take from another car and use on a 93 240sx?5. Does anyone anymore website where i can get the engine wiring schematic and ecu pin-outs for the 93 240sx?

1. yes, you can buy a 93 and either turbo it, or swap a turbo motor into it....

Thanks for the reply. Can i also replace the dash interior from a newer 95 240sx to a 93 240sx? WIll it just bolt in?

i have never heard of anyone trying or wanting to do something like that...i have no idea...but the dash is made to fit with the doors/pillars, etc, and changing the dash might cause more problems,,,mind as well just customize the s13.

Sorry, i'm just trying to find out as much as i can. When i first did my engine swap on my non turbo eclipse to make it turbo, it sat in front of my house for 3 months. I had to learn every thing about it because cheap and thats how i am. I have learned so much about cars that i am becoming an engineer and a machinic, I'm one of those do it yourself people.

Do guy's know a website that tells you how to do the timing on the 240 sx?

thats the best way to do things, research before jumping in , ya know : )

im not saying the dash thing 'cant' be done, just that it isnt a 'wise' decision, and there are better ways to get the most out of the money, and still have a nice ride : )

the stock 240? like the ka24 motor? I'd check the KA forum on this NICO board as well as the forums at http://www.freshalloy.com , they are good recources for that info....No distributer on the SR20det ; )
