Please Help!!!!!!!! 240 is having some strange problems starting

Hey my 91 240sx is having some problems starting but only occasionally. Most of the time the car works perfect and has no troubles, but every few days it wont start. battery is fine starter is fine alternator is fine so I checked the fuel pump and it wasn't working. I left the car for a few hours and tried it again and the fuel pump was working again. 2 days later it dies again and I replace the fuel pump relays and the car is working perfect. Today it wouldn't start and i didn't do much just checked the relays, banged the fuel pump and its working fine again. Is this my Fuel pump or an electrical problem or something else? The car is extremely unreliable like this I need to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance..

check your fuel system carefully. filter, pump, sending unit,lines replace as needed

Sounds like its not the common fuel filter issue, I would make sure your getting current to your fuel pump after the relay and with the ignition turned to the on or run position, do this while turning the key in timed intervals to make sure that side of the system is fine....dont forget to check your grounds....assume all parts work when diagnosing till you can determine its not functioning properly. Odds are how old our cars are the fuel pump could be going....wouldnt be a bad time to upgrade while your at it if thats what it is. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Well if you messed with the ECU recently you might not have plugged it in and bolted in the plug all the way.

You did say anything helps
